The focus of the Perkins Archives long-term digital preservation plan is collaboration and sustainability.

We plan to contribute all of our public digital collections to regional and national repositories, and utilize low-cost and no-cost access and delivery platforms. We currently use Flickr and the internet archive for all of our online exhibits. We plan on contributing all of our assets in Flickr to the Digital Commonwealth (a non-profit organization which functions as a state repository), which is a service hub (contributor) to the Digital Public Library of America. Additionally, Perkins keeps local master files of all of our digital objects and backs them up on cloud storage.
